Jonnah Bron (1994) is a photographer and filmmaker based in Amsterdam. She graduated in Photography from the Willem de Kooning Academy and later developed her practice further as a self-taught filmmaker.

Her work originates from a personal need for representation as a queer person. In response to this absence, she turned the camera towards herself and the people close to her, using image-making as a way to explore and reclaim visibility. This personal starting point continues to shape her practice.

Jonnah’s work explores themes of (queer) identity, intimacy, relationships, and personal narratives. Working from a documentary and observational perspective, she seeks out moments of vulnerability and authenticity, using the camera to get close and create space for stories that often remain unseen.

Her practice moves between photography and film, focusing on capturing human experiences in an intimate and direct way. She is currently working on multiple documentary projects.

Alongside her artistic practice, she gives film workshops for young people, encouraging them to explore and express their own stories through visual storytelling.
